Tonight my tune “Cat in the Hat” was set to air on the
CW network’s 90210. However, most of the show was
eclipsed by a wrestling match. Oh well! We must have a
sense of humor in these times!

This week I am going to be taping a segment on ABC's

contacted by a producer for a segment. This particular

thought! I could do that!

I've been approached by a highly-endorsed peace
organization with an intriguing proposition.
They are looking for authors and aspiring
authors who have felt something we've all

I hope you all have been having a wonderful
summer! My kids are off with my MIL, leaving me
at home on vacation for a few days. I’m on a
STAY-cation and loving it! Lorenzo goes to
nursery school on September 14th—this means that
for the first time in 7 years, mommy will have
time to work on her projects during the day,
instead of burning the candle at both ends!
I’m preparing for my appearance on Rachel Ray
this week, along with finalizing the script for
the Daughter in Law Rules promotional video that
is being shot this weekend at Love Illuminati in
beautiful downtown New Hope, PA. Here is a pic of
the two actors, George Loomis and Amanda Coulter,
that will be portraying the couple in the video.
Aren’t actors just too beautiful?!!!

It was fathers day on Sunday. I made this poster
for my dad, who thought that it was real. LOL!
He figured with all the media and press that I
have been getting this year, that I had pitched
the Happy Father’s Day Magazine and somehow
gotten him on the cover. We all had a good laugh
when I told him it was just made up. It’s really

Any One Life to Live fans out there?
I spent the weekend at a beautiful
lake in CT with a student of mine, Anthony Call,
who used to play Herb Callison on the ABC daytime
drama. He is currently writing a screen play and has
optioned me to compose the score. It is interesting how
life will throw things at you that are unexpected, but wonderful.

This week I got a call back for “Shark Tank”
—the new Mark Burnett reality show that is based
on The Apprentice. Young entrepreneurs get to
make their pitch for the chance to have their
business idea funded by 5 multi-millionaires and
a team of PR geniuses . There were a series of 15
questions (you were not allowed to read anything
or edit the tape) and an application packet that
rivald the admissions application at Harvard!
PLUS, you had to sign away your life, bank
account and rights to your first born. LOL! But
seriously, it was like signing tax returns. They
want to make sure that if they pick you, they OWN
you. It reminded me a bit of the time that I flew
out to Hollywood to audition as Tony Danza’s
sidekick for his talk show. Before the audition,
they made you sign a waver that stated that if
you were cast, you would receive approximately
$400/day, and a yearly raise of not more than 5%
—Disney’s way of making sure you do NOT become
the next Kelly Ripa. Needless to say, I didn’t get
the gig, but it was a really great opportunity
and I got to banter with and play the blues for
Mel Clark’s Angels in the Outfield!
