On Friday I got up at 4am, determined to make it
down to the 8am America's Got Talent® auditions
and be first in line. How ambitious was THAT?!
In fact, I was 27th in line. Even so, I was seen
by 11am (there ended up being upwards of 1200
folks there). It was quite an experience and a
lot of fun. There were Elvis impersonators, Male
Tina Turner dress-alikes, cute little 4 year old
tap-dancing twins and folk-singing hippies. What
a crowd! The most shocking part was when I went
to get a hot cup of tea and they said, "That'll
be $3.50 please." I said, "oh, well, I'll just
take the hot water then!" Response? "That'll be
$3.50 please... " Welcome to the Big Apple! Stay
tuned to see weather or not I made it into the
next round!
